The Importance of a COP

The Conference of the Parties (COP) is an international simulation where young people come together to understand the challenges linked to climate change and to practice diplomacy and negotiation. These exercises are essential to raise awareness among young people of the importance of international cooperation in the face of climate change and to provide them with practical problem-solving skills.

The Paris Agreement

The Paris Agreement, adopted at COP21 in 2015, is a concrete example of the importance of international cooperation in the fight against climate change. By simulating the discussions and negotiations that led to this historic agreement, young participants can better understand the political processes and compromises needed to reach global climate agreements.
